The Dye Sublimation process...
Images are first printed on a dedicated printer loaded with transfer paper and sublimation inks.
The transfer paper print is aligned on the aluminium plate, and together, they are placed in a heat press.
At around 195°C and under pressure, the inks become gas and are chemically infused into the multi-layer coating on the aluminium.
Once cooled, the transfer paper is removed to reveal the printed image on aluminium.
