“MY LOVE AFFAIR WITH PHOTOGRAPHY BEGAN WHEN I RECEIVED A KODAK BROWNIE 127 AS A CHRISTMAS PRESENT. IT WAS BASIC, BUT IT LIT A FLAME THAT CONTINUES TO BURN"
For half a century, Murray has pursued his passion for photography through an illustrious career in commercial photography. Working with some of the UK’s leading newspapers and advertising agencies has given him opportunities to build a portfolio of work that celebrates both studio and fashion photography. With this extensive experience, he has turned his eye to fine art photography and offers an extensive portfolio of distinctive, crisp and atmospheric images.
His signature work with coloured smoke has led him to look at other subjects among them poultry, flowers and people. Murray was a finalist in the renowned and highly competitive Pink Lady Food Photographer of the Year competition in 2018.
His current projects involve capturing abstract shapes formed with coloured liquids and working with luthiers on a series of images of stringed instruments.
